It can be widely used for measuring the viscosity of various substances, such as oils, paints, plastics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, coatings, detergents, and other materials.


Product Features
Viscosity is a pointer viscometer, which uses a motor to drive the rotor to rotate at a constant speed through a variable speed belt. When the rotor rotates in the liquid, the greater the viscosity of the liquid, the greater the viscous torque acting on the rotor; conversely, the smaller the viscosity of the liquid, the smaller the viscous torque. The viscous torque acting on the rotor is detected by the sensor, and the viscosity of the measured liquid is obtained after being processed by a computer.
Viscosity processes the data detected by the sensor and clearly displays the set rotor number, speed, and viscosity of the measured liquid on the pointer screen.
DHJ-1S is equipped with 4 rotors (No. 1, 2, 3, and 4) and 4 speed gears (6, 12, 30, and 60 revolutions per minute), forming 16 combinations, which can measure the viscosity of various liquids within the measuring range.
1. The lifting system adopts the helical gear/helical rack method:
Other domestic manufacturers' rotational viscometers use the straight gear/straight rack method, in which only one gear is in contact when the gear and rack work. If it is easy to adjust upward, it will slide down by itself, and if it is to be prevented from sliding down, it will be difficult to adjust upward. Our factory's rotational viscometer uses a helical gear method, and when the helical rack and helical gear work, three teeth are in contact, effectively overcoming the shortcomings of the straight gear/straight rack method, making it easy and effortless to move up and down, and avoiding self-sliding. (The cost of processing the helical gear/helical rack method is much higher than that of the straight gear/rack method).
2. A universal joint is added at the interface connecting the rotor:
Usually, the rotor of a rotational viscometer is directly and rigidly connected to the rotating shaft. Any eccentricity of the shaft or the rotor will cause the rotor to shake during testing and affect the measurement accuracy. The rotating shaft is slender and sharp, and even accidental collisions can often cause bending or damage to the shaft tip. The addition of a universal joint can effectively reduce the measurement error caused by the eccentricity of the shaft and rotor, and protect the shaft tip from damage due to collisions. This structure is not yet available in other domestic manufacturers and is only seen on high-end imported viscometers (universal joints require high-precision processing on imported CNC machine tools, and the accuracy requirements are very high, thus the cost is also significantly increased).
3. The variable speed gear is made of highly wear-resistant and high-performance engineering plastics:
In order to ensure smooth operation and accurate measurement of the rotational viscometer, the gear processing accuracy requirement is extremely high. Currently, the gears used in viscosity meters produced by other domestic manufacturers are made by machining metal sheets into teeth and then riveting them to other parts. Due to the limitations of this processing method, it is difficult to meet the design requirements, which results in the viscometer running unsteadily during operation, such as shaking, oscillating, pointer jumping, and so on, and produces significant noise. However, our factory uses high-performance engineering plastics (whose performance is superior to metal) to press the entire gear component into shape at once. This ensures that the machined gear fully meets the design requirements due to the high precision of the mold, fundamentally solving the problems caused by metal gears, making the viscometer very stable during operation, and improving the measurement accuracy.
